The Board meeting went great. I tried some hot pasta too.

The meeting tonight was full of plans and a couple of surprises too.

There are plans for a July Picnic, and also a class taught by our intrepid teacher guru, Jerry Gillette, who will talk about Keyboard Shortcuts.

These Keyboard shortcuts can save a LOT of work time.

The calendars are on order, and the Christmas Party planning is also well underway.

I tried the hot pasta, and so did somebody else. It WAS hot.

Members, remember to be saving your computer items and other items for the great BGAMUG Computer Club auction to be held in August.

Again, our next meeting is Tuesday, June 25th. Bring a friend, and join us!

The BGAMUG Board Meeting is tonight.

NEWS FROM THE WEBMASTER.

The Officers are meeting tonight at 6:30 p.m. at Mr. Gatti's on the Bypass.

The room is reserved at 6, for people who want to come and eat earlier.

This is an open Board meeting, members are welcome to attend. We usually have pizza and a drink there. The price is reasonable.

Have anything you want to discuss? Send an email to an officer.

In the meantime, members, be sure to be going through your things for anything you want to auction at the BGAMUG Auction coming up in August.

Anything of value (not too cheap) will be useful to the club, per Jerry G. And let Jerry know what you have. Maybe email him about it.

Our next meeting is Tuesday, June 25th. Join us!

Last night's meeting went great. We learned more about CCleaner, plus more.

As a Mac user (for now) I wasn't sure I would get much out of learning more about how to operate Windows computers or getting neat software for it.

But I got to see CCleaner demonstrated up close and personal on the screen, and it looked pretty easy to do. I am considering getting a PC to load Corel on. I miss being able to make interesting logos using Corel.

So I will probably be getting CCleaner (otherwise known as Crap Cleaner) for it.

Here is a link where you can download CCleaner. http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

Our Tech guru, Joe Easterling, explained that the free version was very good and useful.

I will add some more info. from the meeting here or on the Newsletter soon.

Our next meeting is Tuesday, June 25th. Join us!

OK, BGAMUG Computer Club Members.

Remember to save your useful computers and other items for another BGAMUG Auction.

A date has not been set, but I think it's a good idea. I was able to get a great deal on a small trampoline last time.

How is everyone doing? Great, I hope.

Our next BGAMUG Computer Club meeting is on Tuesday, May 28th, at 6:30.

Guests are always welcome. So stop by!

Google Glass - is it a computer? Sort of. Would you wear it?

Via Planeta on Flickr.

Are you thinking you will get a set of Google glasses?

Maybe not right now, but later?

They had a news story about these tonight. Someone used them in Times Square, in New York. They took some photos and got directions.

They do cost a lot. My husband said he would probably pass on them. But when the apps are made, I'll bet having a pair of Google glasses (or Google Glass with no "es"?) would be fun.

I think the price will probably go down.  And I'm curious. I think it would be fun to try these out. I hope they become affordable in the future.

What do you think?

All for now,
