Hi, all! Here is a very brief synopsis of What's Happening in BGAMUG right now.
The Christmas Party went really well, missed those of you who could not make it.
We switched over Officer Information on Tuesday.
Sharon is getting information together to put out or Newsletter this month. Thanks, Sharon!
We do NOT have a meeting in December. A heads up.
So have a WONDERFUL Christmas and Holiday, Yule/Winter Solstice, Hanukah, Kwanzaa, a Happy New Year, and whatever other holiday you celebrate this season.
The temperature is dropping this week, and it is beginning to seem more like Winter to me. I like the change in seasons though, so this will be nice. Will we have a White Christmas? I don't know.
Be looking for my President's Message and other articles in the Newsletter this month for some great plans for the new year, and what you can do to help too! Don't worry, they are pretty easy things.
Here is hoping for a GREAT 2017 also.
Also - don't forget - MARK YOUR CALENDAR: our January Meeting is 6:00 p.m. at Hillview Heights Room 300 (our regular meeting room) on Tuesday, January 24th.
Bring a drink to go with the PIZZA. Be there or be square!
BGAMUG-ly Yours,
Betsy Sheppard

GREAT meeting. Voting went well, Sharon now an Officer, more.
The meeting went great yesterday. It was interesting.
We learned about Google Photos and heard from GeeksOnTour.com about using it. Geeks On Tour help people learn new things and teach technology.
We missed all who could not make it. But understand there will sometimes be conflicts during this busy time of year.

You may be getting this in the mail soon too. RSVP to Jeri by Nov. 30.
You can also use this as your invitation, Members. Members' family are also invited, per our usual rule. Just bring one side dish or dessert per person or family. More than one is also OK. We want to have lots of good food.

Sharing from the FB page.
A little about our BGAMUG Computer Club Meeting Tonight:
I gave a brief synopsis of the BGAMUG Meeting just now at our Facebook page, which is here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/238044399188/ and has 56 members right now.
I will have to check to see how many readers we have here!
(Will put on my To do List, which is too long...)
It was fun to see some new faces at the meeting. There is much to type up about this meeting, which I will do later.
We have gotten the Moose Lodge for our party, which is scheduled for December 3rd (a Saturday) and I will be calling the Moose Administrator to see if we can start our Christmas Party at 2 p.m. or 4 p.m. (a little earlier than other years.)
I will be letting Jerry know asap what he says. Hopefully we will have these as choices.
The APCUG Conference was fun.... I got the feeling that Las Vegas was also fun. I told Paula (or somebody) that next time, whoever was going should tack on a couple of extra days so they could do more there. Because there is a LOT to do there, it sounded like.
I will be typing up more notes from the meeting soon. The pizza was good! It has been a long time since I had Godfather's Pizza. We got a good deal on it too.
More info. to come. I thought it was a good meeting. The early meeting time, and pizza, both went over well.
B
PS It looks like we have 4 Followers for this blog, so I will maybe be inviting others here soon. :-)

Our meeting yesterday, Sep. 2016 - - Unofficial news and updates from Betsy.
Hi, all!
I have some updates from the meeting yesterday. I will post this on our FB page too.
Invitations to the blog...
I am inviting all Members of the BGAMUG Computer Club to this blogtoday soon. If you are a former member, you may also want to join up. We may put this on the website so it shows up automatically later on.
At the meeting, we voted to NOT vote again on disbanding our group. Why? Because there is a LOT of momentum right now to keep it going. Plus, we love getting together and helping others.
I made a flyer and mini-flyer too. Here is a copy of the mini-flyer:
We will be putting these around town and hopefully getting more members soon. We have some Officer Positions open too. If you want to work on Program, the Newsletter, (John Walker was the Editor for our Sept. Newsletter), be Sgt. at Arms, VP of Protocol, Secretary, help with Membership, be an Officer at Large (#2), or help with any job, just let an Officer know. Or comment below, or send an email to me at lizann 447 at yahoo.com. (no spaces).
Our election is IN NOVEMBER.
Jerry G. and Paula hope to go to Las Vegas for the APCUG Conference next month, October 21023. If you also would like to attend this, go here to check it out: http://apcug2.org/apcug-2016-conference/
There may be special values and deals for people in the club who want to attend. Let Jerry Gillette know if you would like to go. He may share with you about the Heart Attack Grill and the Bellagio.
The Board meeting for the BGAMUG Computer club is next Tuesday, October 4th at 6:30 at Jerry's Restaurant, which is near the Corvette Museum. All BGAMUG members are invited to attend. If you wish to have something to eat, come at 6:00.
OUR DOOR DOLLARS drawing did not have a winner, so come to next month's meeting and maybe WIN 50 DOLLARS!!
