Our regular monthly Member Meeting is tonight.
We will learn about Windows 10!
This presentation is by Jeri Steele.
We meet (as usual) at Hillview Heights Church on 31-W, just a little ways from Lost River Cave, heading out of town. We meet in the back.
I may get a Windows 10 computer someday. There are some programs I like that are not available on a Mac.

Our August meeting was fun. I learned a lot about Computer Shortcuts.
There were some fun tips at the latest BGAMUG Meeting.
I learned how to (much more quickly) access special characters and save time doing work with them. One character I want to use on Facebook is a heart. <3 br="">3>
There was another group at our (new) meeting place. So we moved back to our OLD building (F) and moved to the right, to a new, bigger room. It is on the same side of the building as our old room, just go to the right all the way down the sidewalk.
Next time, we may be there again. I will post here when I and they find out.
We got some good handouts too. The most fun for me was talking about fonts.
Our Next meeting is our fun Auction, Tuesday, Sept. 24th. Bring quality computer items, good printers, other computer stuff PLUS other useful quality items in good condition to sell for the Club.
The Genealogy SIG (Special Interest Group) was also very interesting. I think I'm learning by osmosis here, and hope to be able to do great things later on with it.
Guests are always welcome at BGAMUG meetings.
See you there!

Computers are so important for education today. The BGAMUG Computer Club also thinks so.

I agree: computer access (to the Internet) IS a basic need for education in our society, as Computer Labs and teachers will also tell you.
Kent Conrad is right.
When I taught, the library computer lab was SO important.
And if somebody has a personal computer, it is SO much easier today to do research, or learn online at home.
The BGAMUG Computer Club has given computers to schools all over. They also have furnished computers to people that could not afford them.
They have meetings every month except in December.
Find out more at their website and Facebook page.

I hope you are having a great Presidents' Day!

Who needs to learn more about their computer or smart phone?
It's great how many kinds of computers there are nowadays.
There are notepads, ipads, smart phones, and all kinds of computer-aided devices out there. It's a learning curve, for sure.
If you live in the Bowling Green, Kentucky area, you can learn about your computer and your computer devices at the local BGAMUG Computer Club.
They meet once a month. They have a website, this blog, and a Facebook page too.
Come as a visitor, and you could win a door prize!
