Hi, BGAMUG Computer Club fans!

OK - I know I put "I found some of Betsy's BGAMUG links" as my blog title. The reason is that although Betsy is really me, someday other posters may post here too. I think it will make this posting easier to find later on.

I am excited because I found some of my notes that I put online from a former BGAMUG presentation. The presentation was about Buying and Selling Online. Here are those pages, which I posted on my Betsyanne website.

BGAMUG Page One - this page talks checking items for condition, doing research, leaving feedback on the Ebay site, and how long to list an item.

BGAMUG Page Two - this page continues by talking about how to find out what people want to buy, how to screen out unwanted bidders, how to be a trusted seller, how not to spam, and information about ebook selling on Ebay (it is not allowed the way it used to be allowed by instant download). However, there are ways to get around this.

BGAMUG Page Three - more about buying and selling online - PayPal, SquareTrade, mediation, and communications.

BGAMUG Page Four -  how to block a bidder or buyer on Ebay, using Auctiva, Amazon, more hints.

BGAMUG Page Five - About Penny Sellers (on Amazon), ULine, using the nine-digit zip code when mailing, keeping records, other auction sites online, helpful web sites.

I hope you find these pages handy. I hope to update ALL of my pages soon, and have already started doing that. It is a learning curve!

What is coming up at the next two meetings!

Here is some information from the BGAMUG website about the next two meetings. There are some very informative and fun meetings coming up!

April - our meeting this month is on Tuesday, April 26th. It begins at 6:30. Guest are, as always, very welcome. The program will be "Setting up Limited User Accounts". Joe Easterling will be the speaker, and will let us know safe ways of doing this to make web surfing easier and safer too.

May - the May meeting will feature Open Source Software. This meeting will be on Tuesday, May 24th, and will also start at 6:30. Jeri Steele will have many different kinds of Open Source Software to share with the club.

We meet at the Bowling Green Technical College in Bowling Green, Kentucky, at 1845 Loop Street, in Building F. Here is a map.

The public is warmly invited to both meetings. I look forward to seeing the members and all the guests too!

Just saying... free computer classes in Bowling Green, Kentucky

Hi! This is Betsy, the BGAMUG Computer Club webmaster. Did you know that there are FREE computer classes right here in Bowling Green, Kentucky?

That's right. They are put on by the local library system. Some of the classes I have seen are: Microsoft for Beginners, Excel Intermediate and Beginner, Facebook for Beginners, and Introduction to Mac Word.

You must pre-register for these classes by calling the library where the class is being held. These free computer classes are held at different times, and at different library locations.

You can check my blog for what free computer classes are being held each month. The blog is called Cheap and Free Stuff in and around Bowling Green, Kentucky. I list these classes from other sites I check on each week.

I hope you are having a great week. Remember, the Bowling Green BGAMUG Computer Club meets every month on the 4th Tuesday, except for December, at the Bowling Green Technical College at 6:30 p.m. Visitors are most welcome.
