The BGAMUG Computer Club meeting yesterday went great!
About Last Night's Meeting of the BGAMUG Computer Club
Jerry shared about how to print out items larger than regular size, free education on the internet, other selling sites besides Ebay, how to put pictures on a computer, what to do when your computer freezes, scanning documents with an OCR program, resizing photos, free education sites, how to save money using online sites, how to streamline your startup information for Windows, and a few SEO tips.
Members shared their liking for Expedia, Priceline, Southwest.com, Travelocity, SoKyShop, the Bowling Green Craiglist site (because you can actually meet a seller) and Hotel.com. Jerry suggests playing with these to see what happens.
Other good advice: use your security programs!
Here are some free education site links from last night's presentation:

This is just PART of what Jerry talked about. Come to our next meeting as our guest (it's free) to find out even more.

Just saying... free computer classes in Bowling Green, Kentucky
Hi! This is Betsy, the BGAMUG Computer Club webmaster. Did you know that there are FREE computer classes right here in Bowling Green, Kentucky?
That's right. They are put on by the local library system. Some of the classes I have seen are: Microsoft for Beginners, Excel Intermediate and Beginner, Facebook for Beginners, and Introduction to Mac Word.
You must pre-register for these classes by calling the library where the class is being held. These free computer classes are held at different times, and at different library locations.
You can check my blog for what free computer classes are being held each month. The blog is called Cheap and Free Stuff in and around Bowling Green, Kentucky. I list these classes from other sites I check on each week.
I hope you are having a great week. Remember, the Bowling Green BGAMUG Computer Club meets every month on the 4th Tuesday, except for December, at the Bowling Green Technical College at 6:30 p.m. Visitors are most welcome.

BGAMUG meeting is tomorrow, Tuesday, August 24th, 2010 at 6:30 p.m..
Hi all!
This is Betsy, the BGAMUG Club's Webmaster. This meeting should be very interesting tomorrow. We will be learning about files and folders. Jerry will tell the members and guests how he keeps his computer files organized. His presentation is called Creating, Naming, and Organizing Folders.
Also, it is that time again to elect new officers. Do you want to run for office? There are a few openings for people to run for office this year. This is a good way to meet other members, bounce ideas off each other, and help the club too. You are needed. The club does a lot of good things, and this is your chance to give back and give of yourself.
There are open nominations this meeting, so plan to speak up if you are interested. The meeting is held here:
Place:Bowling Green Technical College, 1845 Loop Street, Building F, Bowling Green, Kentucky. A sign will be posted, and there is plenty of room there.
As usual, guests are very welcome, so if you are thinking of attending, tomorrow is a very good time.
See you there!
