How far we have come! Old vs. New Computers and more

I love how far computing has come since its invention.

Now everyone can use one if they want to, and they are much simpler to understand.

I can remember using an old Compugraphic system for printing. To make forms, you had to input the parameters. Another machine let you change fonts with filmstrips.

And for one machine, you couldn't just print the output, you made tape which you fed through another machine to get film to use (with a canister holder to keep out the light).

Next year in this area there will be another recycling event for computers. I have a couple of old computers plus printers I will be taking there.

Did you ever play a text game on a computer? They were pretty fun. Did you ever play Pong? I wasn't totally mesmerized by it, I must say, but it was new and made noise and light. So it was neat.

Now with 3D realism technology, games are intricate and spellbinding.

Who knows what advances we will see next?

I personally like the techie glasses that let you watch TV and do other things. I haven't seen one yet, but I think that would be useful.

I also like it that you can watch shows on a digital TV from online. The picture quality on TV's (which sometimes are also computers) really has become outstanding.

What is your favorite computer tech invention? Leave a comment!
